Women’s PM Cup : Positive Impact in Nepalese Womens Cricket

The cricketing era of women in Nepal is all set to change after the successful completion of consecutive second women’s PM cup.

Departmental team Armed Police Force created the history by winning the second season of women’s PM cup which was held in Mahendranagar hosted by Nepal sports council in the support of Mahakali sports society.

The departmental team APF defeated the far western province in the final by 7 wickets. They cashed up the 5 lakhs rupees as the winning prize and the runner up team Far Western province settled up for 3 lakhs rupees. There were total of eight teams including all 7 provinces and one departmental side Armed Police Force. We can predict that these two season of women’s PM cup will brought positive impact in Nepal in women’s cricket team.

Nepal is always being backward in organizing the such types of domestic level tournament which was the major concern for the future of the nepal’s women cricket team. But this national level tournament inspired the lot of women cricket admirer to play cricket and represent the Nepal.

The national level PM cup helps Nepal womens cricket team to make their foundation strong and As well as they will be relatable and perceptive in grand stage matches in international level. It also help to increase the professionalism for women in domestic level cricket and the women cricket player can depend their economic life in cricket. we can expect the increament of players and followers if this type of tournament being rapidly organized in Nepal. we hope for the better and bright future for the national womens cricket team.
