Nepal Vs Oman : Post Match Analysis !

Oman won the toss and invited Nepal to bat at Buyuemas Oval cricket ground , Kuala Lumpur.

Nepal opening pairs of Malla and khakurel gave quite resisting start against Pace of kaleemullah and Bilal Khan before khakurel got runout. Captain Paras khadka join the party and stayed in the middle until 15.5 overs before he found guilty infront of wicket in the ball of Ajay Lalcheta.

Experience campaigner Sagar pun joined the vice captain but Malla departed in last ball of very next over from Bilal khan. Dipendra and pun carried innings to 80 runs before Dipendra got caught by Naseem khusi Duo of Aarif sheikh and Sagar Pun held 92 run partnership between them and carried the innings from to 80-4 in 22.4 overs to 172 -5 in 44.1 before Aarif got caught by Omani captain Zeeshan Maqsood.

Rohit kumar Poudel couldn’t able to open his account and handed the seconded wicket to Ajay Lalcheta while composed hitter kami didn’t find the middle of his bat and went cheaply in Bilal khan Bowling. Though Pun was accelerating ,he wasn’t find good support from other end before Valentine boy karan Kc join the party and snatched 3 consecutive boundary out towards end ,out of which two were over the rope for six .In final over, Nepal suffered two run out in the form of Sagar Pun and Basant Regmi.

With composed inning of 83 in 84 balls, Sagar Pun made is come back in his national duty while Malla and Arif sheikh added 45 and 36 runs respectively. Cameo of 26 runs from 10 balls of karan kc helps to make competitive total of 221 runs.

For oman side kaleemullah was economical while Bilal Khan and Ajay Lalcheta shared two wickets for each.

Omani openers Aqib Ilyas and Jatinder singh started the innings quite slow in the beginning before khadka gave the breakthroughs to Nepal side in the form of Aqib Ilyas.

Experience duo of jatinder singh and vaibhav wategaonkar stabilize the Omani’s innings before Singh got run out. Khawar Ali from Oman side join the middle and carried the innings and duo of Ali and wategaonkar added 78 runs partnership before Nepal handed another run out to the Oman side in the form of wategaonkar.

Captain Zeeshan Maqsood added some fire power later in the innings along with rooted khawar Ali to register the 7 wicket victory over Nepal.

Khadka was lone bowler who had wicket in his name from Nepal side while rest of Nepal bowling looked ineffective infront of Oman’s batsman.

Young leggie Sandeep lamichane was economical but went wicket less in his quota of 10 overs while veteran left arm orthodox Basant Regmi registered expensive figure from Nepal side.

Pace battery duo of kami and Kc yet again failed to take wickets in opening overs from Nepal. Sagar pun and Dipendra rolled their offie but couldn’t produce any wickets.

Some of the Neplese fielder failed to garb the chances as Gun fielder sagar pun and Paras khadka themselves missed the 2 and 1 catches respectively.

WicketKeeping was another worried factor durings Nepal bowing as Subash wasn’t up to the expectation.

Nepalese sides definitely looks to improve their Fielding in coming matches while Paras and co will do homework to battered their performance in all three departments.

Nepal will take UAE in tomorrow (August 30 ) in Kinrara Academy oval, Kuala Lumpur as a 4th match of Asia cup qualifier
